What is the Office 21 innovation network?
Office 21 is an innovation network of the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO in Stuttgart. Together with partners from industry, we are constantly investigating how office and knowledge work will change in the future and derive recommendations for action for companies.
Our Learning Journey with Office 21 took us to Supercell in Finland, where we were able to experience an impressive project for 600 employees. We were particularly impressed by the atmosphere in the offices, which were decorated with quotes from the online games and created by the team on site. Supercell is one of the most successful companies in this sector. The high quality of the fit-out, the attention to detail and the great openness of the corporate culture provided us with valuable inspiration.
Škoda in Prague was a fascinating stop on our journey through the year 2025. In collaboration with a local architect, the company has created an inspiring project floor that is used for both internal and external events. Each niche and room is uniquely designed and surprises with creative ideas. Particularly impressive was the biophilia concept, which was even thought through to a specially designed sound carpet.
In addition to applied research by renowned institutes, our partners are also working intensively on the question of the workplace of the future. They analyze current trends, technologies and needs in order to develop innovative solutions that will have a lasting impact on the way people work in the coming years. We enjoy working with Steelcase and Vitra in this dialog to understand different perspectives and gain valuable insights for LEIK.
